About Lexi

Raised against the breathtaking landscapes of Hawai’i, Lexi developed a deep love for music. From a young age, she mastered guitar, ukulele, bass, piano, and drums, but singing seemed out of reach due to fear of inadequacy. Over time, she discovered that with dedication, knowledge, and a solid foundation, anyone can master the voice. This journey, filled with countless vocal coaching sessions and growing confidence, ignited a passion in her to help singers expand their range and perform confidently without strain.

Located in Hawai’i, Lexi is the Worship and Music Director at Kailua Assembly of God, equipping and leading the music team in powerful, spirit-filled worship. She holds a Bachelor's degree with a background in worship leadership, songwriting, music theory, and vocal training in both classical and contemporary styles as well as training in acting. Lexi has led worship at New Hope Windward on Oahu and Gateway Church in Dallas, bringing over 10 years of platform experience to her coaching. She was mentored by Sophie Jolls at 1108 Vocal Studio, where she earned her Vocal Coaching Certification.

As a vocal coach and YouTube content creator with over 5k subscribers and 1M views, Lexi continues to inspire and educate others on singing techniques. In addition to creating music, staying active, and enjoying Hawai’i’s beautiful beaches, she offers in person voice lessons from her studio. What lessons include?

Lessons offer personalized coaching to expand your vocal range and boost performance confidence.

1. Evaluate vocal function using scales and explain findings.
2. Examine vocal folds to identify imbalances and strain.

The first half of the lesson focuses on scales and exercises to address functional challenges. The second half applies these techniques to songs, empowering you to sing with confidence.

What technique do you teach?

As a Certified Mix Vocal Coach, I teach the mix method, helping singers achieve seamless transitions between chest and head voice while maintaining consistent vocal quality which is a technique that a lot of contemporary artists like Bruno Mars, Lady Gaga and Adele use when they sing. My approach emphasizes foundational principles like breath control, coordination, style, emotion, resonance, musicality, stage presence, acting, and microphone technique.

What ages do you coach?

I work exclusively with singers who are 16 years or older to help them develop their voice with confidence and healthy technique.

Voice lessons are essential for improving communication and developing healthier speaking and singing habits, helping prevent fatigue and strain. They also guide you in achieving your singing goals, whether expanding your vocal range or enhancing vocal health.

True Voice Studio is located at Kailua Assembly of God, 669 Iliaina St. Kailua Hi, 96734. Once inside the church, take the stairs to the left, then head upstairs and you'll find the studio on your left.
